I’m watching the olympics from bed. I think there are studies that show that watching people exercise activates some of the benefits in your brain. I’m not supposed to lift anything more than 5 pounds for 2 weeks but I will be getting a great workout in my mind.

This is what my port looks like. The white catheter goes up through a vein in my neck.

Diana, My parents are in Jackson Hole right now and sending pictures – so I’ve been thinking about our wonderful Wilderness Ventures trip and what a profound impact it had on my life. One memory that I have (although it might be wrong…) is that you got Deet in your eye, didn’t complain, and then had a chemical burn down your cheek from the tears – crying from laughing of course! Your spirit has really stuck with me – more than 15 years later! I can only imagine that you will kick cancer’s ass in the same way. I’m a family doctor in San Francisco now. It seems like you’re really set up with a wonderful medical team, but if I can provide any connections to medical friends in New Orleans, please let me know. Big hugs, Sarah-Jenny 🙂
